He is lightweight at 19.8 pounds and only 1′8″ short.  He is evenly balanced with the exception that he has a low number of hit points.

The biggest debate surrounds his tail.  It looks like the tail resembles that of a squirrel.  His name is Squirtle and most people think that it is because he has the ability to squirt water.  Others think it may be Sq(uirrel) (Tu)rtle.  Which might explain his bushy tail.

He is most often seen with his loyal Pokemon Pikachu.  (“PIKA!”).  He also keeps with him

When he is with Professor Oak he has access to a few more Pokemon.

He is also training up the mighty Charizard.  Which always proves to be a challenge.

To prove his worth he has entered numerous tournaments and won several badges.

#006 Charizard

Ash’s Pokemon evolved into the final stage known as Charizard.  At this stage his attack also increases with the special attack and speed.  He towers his trainer Ash at 5′7″ and 200 pounds.  I’ve got a few feet on this guy, but there is no way anyone can touch his awesome flame.

The more harsh battles a Charizard endures the hotter its flame.  Kind of like, whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

The best part about this Pokemon is that his wings have finally grown strong enough for flight.  With flight comes great responsibility and ability.  As in all kinds of new abilities and moves to use during Pokemon battle.

Simply stunning, everyone should have a Charizard to watch over them.

#005 Charmeleon

Don’t even think of messing with this Pokemon.  I just looks like a teenager ready to get in trouble. You will also notice the larger claws used with the slash attack.  As a trainer these can be difficult Pokemon to work with.  They are very hot headed and tend to have a mind of their own.  They even been know to not follow attack commands that their trainers give them.

Despite the hot temper this Pokemon has above average speed and special attack which makes him totally awesome in a battle.

Video below shows Charmeleon transforming into the mighty Charizard.  Very cool.

#004 Charmander

I love this guy.  Who doesn’t love controlled fire.  Just look at his tail.  It has a little flame.  I love that.

Weighing in at an adorable 18.7 lbs and 2 feet he is still small enough to carry around without using your Pokemon ball.

You always know how Charmander is feeling by the size of the little fireball on his tail.  If you see his flame start to grow you know you better watch out because something is up.  Charmander is probably angry or something.  Kind of like a dog growling.

He grows into Charmelon and later into the ultimate flame machine Charizard.

#003 Venusaur

This is the full grown version of Bulbasaur. He comes in at 220.5 pounds and is over 6′7″ tall. A huge tank spraying toxic gas. Interestingly though his flower gives off a scent that attracts other Pokemon. Gotta love that. This guy can also make flowers bloom on a tree. Pretty sweet trick.

The other strange thing about this guy is that Pokemon scientists don’t even know if it eats. It gets most of its energy from the flower on its back. It uses a process called photosynthesis. This is the same way that all plants get energy. They act like giant solar panels. They collect energy from the sun and turn it into the nutrients they need to survive. This is why this Pokemon prefers very sunny areas.

#002 Ivysaur

When Bulbasaur grows up a little he turns into Ivysaur. I love the video of someone taking a spore creature and turning it into a Pokemon. How fun is that?

This guy now weighs in at 28.7 pounds.  The thing I want to know is how on earth do they get those Pokemon into those little balls.  I wish I could travel in one of those.

In addition to size Ivysaur has increased attack capability.  Watch out Pokemon trainers this guy is a doozy.

Pokermon # 001

Weighing in at 15.2 pounds this Pokemon can still pack a punch.  In the battle below against Scyther you can see that it isn’t all about size and weight, but how you use your Pokemon skill. Probably what defines this pokemon is his overall balance. He is low in hit points, but makes up for it by having a balanced skill set otherwise. He later transforms into Ivysaur and Venusaur.

He has a giant seed on his back which is supposed to be symbiotic, but I would sure get tired of carting that thing around all the time.

However, this guy is pretty special.  He was voted into the top ten favorite Pokemon on a survey taken by Pokemon.com.  Go Bulbasaur!
